Join Chaosium's GMs and Ardenweard's viking re-enactors for an immersive RPG experience!

Brave players will need to head to the Viking Villiage outside the NEC on Pendigo Lake, and make themselves known, so they can take part in one of the following scenarios:

Age of Vikings, scenario title: Belly of the Beast

Description:

You were so close. After a months-long journey, you had nearly made it home when the storm struck, swift and sudden. Despite your crew's best efforts, your tiny boat, intended only for travel along the coastal shallows, was swept out into deeper waters, helpless against rapidly shifting currents, whorls and eddies that seemed to shift and change to draw you ever further away from home.

Then danger turned into a nightmare. A heavy, foul-smelling mist settled over the sea even as the waters calmed and you found yourselves, desperate for shelter and reprieve, rowing toward an unfamiliar island. No sooner had you drawn close than the fjord's waters began to churn and shift and you were swallowed by the sea itself. The last thing you saw before you lost consciousness was the jaws of a massive, terrifying beast swallowing your crew and boat whole.

Age of Vikings, scenario title: Sea & Salt

Description

Haustmánuður, the Harvest month has just passed, and your crops are finally gathered and stored, ready for the hard months to come.

You and your fellow adventurers are approached by either your local goði, a representative of a family impacted by the heinous actions of the outlaw Sigbert Loftsson, or even possibly by the family of Sigbert Loftsson, who seek to maintain their reputation and honour through ensuring he is brought to justice!

A reward or a generous return of favour is offered if you will travel to Hrafney Island and retrieve the disgraced outlaw, Sigbert Loftsson.

Intended to weave together folklore, horror, redemption, and fate, Sea & Salt is recommended for a party of four to six adventurers, with a mix of warriors, negotiators, and some magical abilities.

You will also need a valid UKGE entry ticket to attend this event.

All proceeds from this event, after VAT, will be donated to the UKGE Charities. You can find out more about this years nominated charities here

Thank you to Don Ford, Chaosium, and the Ardenweard vikings for donating time and tents for this event!
