Halloween Night

Halloween Night is a free-form roleplaying game, where from 10 to 28 players can compete or co-operate in order to influence the overall outcomes. The gothic horror-themed murder mystery will test the wits of all involved.

The event is unscripted but you will be provided with full background notes for whichever character you play, as well as the details that your character would know about events which precede the Halloween Night of 1892 when our scenario takes place.

Over the past three nights, three horrible killings of locals in the village have taken place during the hours of darkness. The locals are taken aback by the evil that has been brought down upon them as one of Transylvania's finest investigators, Inspector Brasov has been assigned to the case to bring it to a speedy conclusion. His reputation for no-nonsense police work is legendary in these parts and the locals will hopefully start to return to their normal activities.

Serious questions remain as to the role in these horrible deaths that a party of foreign tourists may have played. Their arrival, on the morning of the first death, remains clouded in mystery, more so since their expulsion from Cryptonia and their seeking of refuge in the castle of of the Count and Countess von Falcate on the hill that overlooks the village.

The Inspektor has been allocated space in the Castle von Falcate to assist in his investigations and the famous “All Hallow’s Eve” gathering, hosted by the Count every year to celebrate the arrival of All Saints Day on November 1st.
