Azul Simul

Simultaneous Exhibitions (aka ‘Simul’) are a well known concept from Chess. A strong player, typically a Grandmaster, plays multiple games at the same time against different opponents.

In this event, you can book your ticket to take part in a Azul Simul against Aleksejs Pegusevs.

Aleksejs has won the 2024 Mind Sports Olympiad tournament in Azul. Also in 2024, Aleksejs was the runner-up at the one-off World Championship event in Lisbon. Aleksejs makes Azul videos alongside his Carcassonne content on his YouTube channel.

The Simul event is open to players of all levels, and will be run by the team behind the Mind Sports Olympiad and PlayStrategy on their stand in Hall 1.

We shall be using the coloured side of the board for all games.

You can come and learn the game at the stand before the event. You can also try your hand at winning the UKGE Azul tournament by booking your ticket here.

Any player who can win against Aleksejs Pegusevs will receive free entry to the Mind Sports Olympiad Azul tournament in London in August (precise date TBA).

All of the ticket sales, less VAT, will be donated to the 2026 UKGE Charities.

You will need a valid UKGE entry ticket to attend this event.
