Chess Simul

Simultaneous Exhibitions (aka ‘Simul’) are a novel format where a strong player plays multiple games at the same time against different opponents.

In this event, you can book your ticket to take part in a Chess Simul against Etan Ilfeld.

Etan is a US Chess Federation National Chess Master, and the inventor of Diving Chess.

The Simul event is open to players of all levels, and will be run by the team behind the Mind Sports Olympiad and PlayStrategy on their stand in Hall 1.

Any player who can win against Etan Ilfeld will receive free entry to a Mind Sports Olympiad non-prize Chess tournament in London in August (precise tournaments and dates TBA).

You can come and practise Chess and meet Etan at the stand before the event.

All of the ticket sales, less VAT, will be donated to the 2026 UKGE Charities.

You will need a valid UKGE entry ticket to attend this event.
