Hive Simul

Simultaneous Exhibitions (aka ‘Simul’) are a well known concept from Chess. A strong player, typically a Grandmaster, plays multiple games at the same time against different opponents.

In this event, you can book your ticket to take part in a Hive Simul against Francesco Salerno.

Francesco has won three Mind Sports Olympiad tournaments in Hive. He works closely with the publisher to promote Hive all around the world and organised the last two International Hive meetups.

The Simul event is open to players of all levels, and will be run by the team behind the Mind Sports Olympiad and PlayStrategy on their stand in Hall 1.

Players will be able to choose between playing the base game or with the PLM expansions, and will be able to refer to piece movement sheets throughout the Simul.

You can come and learn the game at the stand before the event. You can also try your hand at winning the UKGE Hive tournament by booking your ticket here.

Any player who can win against Francesco Salerno will receive free entry to the Mind Sports Olympiad Hive tournament in London in August (precise date TBA).

All of the ticket sales, less VAT, will be donated to the 2026 UKGE Charities.
