What is Delta Green?

Born of the U.S. government’s 1928 raid on the degenerate coastal town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts, the covert agency known as Delta Green opposes the forces of darkness with honor but without glory. Delta Green agents fight to save humanity from unnatural horrors—often at a shattering personal cost.

In Delta Green: The Role-Playing Game, the players are those agents. They fight to keep terrors from beyond space and time from infecting the world and claiming human lives and sanity.

• Delta Green is a modern day Call of Cthulhu-derived system and setting of conspiracy and cosmic horror in which you play as agents from a secret government group tasked with hunting down, destroying, and covering up instances of the supernatural, whilst reflecting on how the traumatic nature of these encounters wears away not just at your characters' sanity, but also on their connections to the friends and family that must be kept in the dark about the horrors they are being protected from.

What is a Shotgun Scenario?

This adventure will be a ‘shotgun scenario’, a fan-made submission to the yearly Delta Green writing contest. These are short, bite-sized adventures designed to fit into a single session (or even run as 2 in 1 session if the agents prove sufficiently efficient in dispatching the first operation!) with a more focused, rapid-fire intensity than the slow-burn sandbox investigations of the officially published modules. Ideal for convention play, these strange and unusual adventures serve as both an introduction to the world of Delta Green for newcomers and as unpredictable high-intensity investigations for veteran players.

The session will begin with all players participating in short roleplay scenes with each other about each character's home life, proceed to an appropriately horrifying and nightmarish operation, and then conclude with any survivors returning home to play out the consequences on their relationships. Within 4 hours you will have the opportunity to experience all of the main pillars of a Delta Green adventure: Home scenes, exploration, investigation, combat, insanity, crime scene tampering, and social roleplay.

No experience with Delta Green is required. Pre-made character sheets will be provided. 

The Scenario

The scenario will be Ideasthesia by Erik Ahlin, 2nd place winner for the 2023 Shotgun Scenario contest. In this adventure, the agents are tasked with investigating an apparent murder-suicide at a perfume factory, and destroying all vectors of a dangerous cognitohazard found on site.

As a cosmic horror game, Delta Green can deal with upsetting or distressing themes and imagery. Safety tools will be employed, but specific content warnings include:
