How we use your information

UK Games Expo never makes your personal details available to any other company for marketing purposes. UK Games Expo Ltd may hold your personal details in order to process your order and maintain your account and make contact with you as needed to fulfil your orders. If you set up an account with us we store the details within our admin system. We will not add you to any mail list unless you also subscribe to the newsletter.

If you use the sign up to newsletter feature on our website this will also result in your email being added to our mailing list (this is how you opt into receive our emails. We will not add you on to our mail list unless you subscribe to it using this feature). This will mean we will email you regarding the show news as well as exhibitor news.

Use and storage of data

If you have an account with us, as a customer, trader or volunteer, or ordered items from us, or have signed up for our newsletter we will have your email address.

We also maintain records of previous orders in case we need to refer back to them.

We will only send you marketing communications if you have registered to receive the newsletters. This may include messages from sponsors, trading partners and exhibitors.

If you enter a tournament or other organised play event and it is deemed necessary for the umpire or Games Master to contact you we may supply details of your email address to them for this express purpose only.

Email communications

We send out email communications to those registered with us. You can remove your email address from the mailing list at any time by using the links in the emails that are sent to you.

We will never make your personal details available to other companies for marketing purposes. We do on occasion agree to send marketing materials supplied by our trading partners or exhibitors to those on our mailing list. We do not check the accuracy of the content of any such material and any opinions expressed therein are not necessarily those of the UK Games Expo team.

We will endeavour to make all our communications clear in their intent. We will endeavour not to overuse your personal data.

If you prefer not to receive any advertising or promotional emails from UK Games Expo (whether the content is supplied by us or one of our trading partners or exhibitors) click on the unsubscribe link in the emails. Your email address will then be removed from our mailing list and all advertising and promotional emails will be blocked.

Security

To prevent any unauthorised persons accessing your data, it is protected throughout the payment process.

Your personal and payment details are captured online using industry-standard technology, which encrypts all information to make it secure. UK Games Expo encrypts all traffic to the website by use of a secure certificate.
