Child Safeguarding

UK GAMES EXPO takes safeguarding children seriously and has produced a safeguarding policy.

The safeguarding officer for the event can be contacted at the Help desk in Hall 2 or Hall 3 of the NEC.

This summary is important for parents/carers to read ahead of the event

This is a family event and we welcome families to this. However, it is important to note that the organisation does not undertake activities with children in the absence of their parents/carers. Parents/carers remain responsible for their children's welfare throughout the event, even in the family Zone.

We have a procedure for lost and found children, which will be followed if this happens. In order to prepare for the event we suggest you agree a security word with your child so that in the event of them being found it is easy to reunite you, knowing we are giving children back to those responsible for them.

In the event of a lost child, responsible adults are asked to inform the nearest Yellow Shirted UKGE volunteer, Blue Shirted Ambassador or Green Shirted Team leader who will activate the Lost Child Policy.

The lost child points can be found at the Front Entrance Help Desk in Hall 2, or the event desk in Hall 3.
