Carcassonne UK Championship

The UK Carcassonne Championship returns — the pinnacle of competitive Carcassonne in the country.
This is the official national championship, drawing dedicated players from across the UK. The stakes are significant: the winner will earn the honour of representing the United Kingdom at the Carcassonne World Championship, competing against national champions from around the globe.

While the title is fiercely contested, the event remains open to players of all abilities. Whether you’re an experienced competitor or a newer player looking to test yourself in a serious environment, you are warmly encouraged to take part. The structure ensures fair pairings and a rewarding experience for everyone.

Players will compete in six rounds of focused, high‑level 2‑player Carcassonne using a Swiss‑style format. After the Swiss rounds, the top performers will advance to the playoff, where the UK Champion will be decided.

Tournament format

• 2 players per table
• 6 Swiss rounds
• Playoff to determine the UK Champion
• Base game (no expansions)
• Winner qualifies for the Carcassonne World Championship

You will need a valid UKGE entry ticket to attend this event. 

The winner will qualify to represent the United Kingdom at the Carcassonne World Championship!  The top three players will be awarded MSO-style medals (gold, silver and bronze).
