The system for the oneshot is Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition, and pregenerated characters will be provided. Gore, violence, body horror, mental illness and other such eldritch horror tropes are to be expected. 

The year is 1924, and the Roaring Twenties are in full swing in the United States. It's against this backdrop that your story is told: a group of friends sightseeing along the East Coast on a road trip, coming from New York up to Boston. Unfortunately, some small mistakes in map reading and proper route planning have led to you being stranded in Massachusetts, 30 miles from the nearest town. No matter, however, for one of you spots an isolated manor house perched on a hill not too far from your car. Simply stroll up to the front door and ask the homeowner for some gas to fuel your car and be on your way. There is no way at all any of this could go wrong.
