Description

WELCOME ADVENTURER!

Heroic Deeds is a goal-based heroic fantasy role-playing game with an old-school aesthetic, but modern mechanics and d12 dice pools. It’s about building your legend, exploring unknown lands, locating strange ruins, and delving into dangerous dungeons. This session will give you a taste of all elements of play of this new game.

What is the adventure?

You stand on the edge of the Verdant Wilds, a huge magic-infused forest that covers the remnants of the ancient dwarven city of Bargdumir. The civil war has just ended and the lord of Emberwatch has recruited troops of adventurers to head out into the wilds to reclaim the lost magi-tech of the dwarves for the nation of Pargranin.

Your party will begin their adventure at Emberwatch with a DOWNTIME action before undertaking a JOURNEY to a distant Adventure Location. There they will EXPLORE the dungeon below avoiding hazards and obstacles to clear the location. And who knows, there might just be the odd bit of COMBAT to test your hero's mettle.

You'll get to change the world you explore by applying RUMOURS to the Adventure Location you select as your destination. You'll select one of four locations to investigate.

What destinations await?

The Crumbling Outpost: An ancient domed structure has collapsed revealing ancient buildings. The scouts say that strange goblins have taken over the site. We need you to go find out.

The Hidden Forge: Recovered journals of a gnomish expedition talk of a seismic shift that thrust an ancient dwarven forge up to the surface in a hollow. Apparently it can forge magic items….

The Lost Beacon: A strange runic obelisk rises from a jumbled mound of earth. Tethys, the Emberwatch sage, believes the site has been cursed by Xon, the god of Undeath, and needs cleansing.

The Shattered Temple: An ancient temple of Kadraethis, the god of warfare, has been located, but scouts saw signs of gnoll incursions. You know such places had magi-tech training facilities.

What do I need to bring?

Character sheets, pens, pencils, figures, and dice will all be provided on the day. Just bring along a thirst for adventure and a willingness to undertake Heroic Deeds!
