XWA presents: Star Wars Xwing 2026
Description
Join the X-Wing Alliance (XWA) for the annual community-run Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game Tournament at the UK Games Expo. Last year we had 56 players - will we be bigger in 2026!

Schedule - Saturday, 30 May, 2026
This tournament will be played over 5 Swiss rounds.
9.00am - Hall Opens and Player Registration begins
9.30am - Player Registration ends, Event Briefing, with Round 1 starting afterwards
11.30 - Round 2 starts
1.30pm - Lunch
2.30pm - Round 3 starts
4.30pm - Round 4 starts
6.30pm - Round 5 Starts
8.00pm - Awards
(We'll do our best to stick to these timings, but will update players should things change)
Format
The event will follow the XWA Competitive Organised Play Rules. Any updates or changes to these Regulations will be communicated to players and a copy of the Regulations can be found in the Google Drive Folder (link above).
The event will use the Scenarios maintained by the XWA and are available here: X-Wing Alliance - Resources
Players build one squad and use the same squad for the entire duration of the tournament. Please build your lists using the latest XWA points. These can be found on the XWA website here: https://www.xwing.life/resources/points
You may Print & Play any pilot or upgrade cards.
Check in process
Before the Event
Add yourself to the Tournament Software Roster BEFORE arriving at the event.

Create an account if needed and Click the Blue “Register” Button
Build your squad list using https://yasb.app/
Export your list in the XWS format
Add your list to the Tournament Software by pasting the copied XWS text into the “My List” section
At the Event
Players must bring one printed copy of their squad list to each event, including all pilots, upgrades, and obstacles. This is for your opponent to verify before the start of round 1.
The printed squad must match the squad submitted on Longshanks. Players must use the same submitted squad for the duration of the event.

Print your squad using the “SIMPLE” format and trace your obstacles on the back of the squad sheet.
Print your name on the top of your list.
Upon Arrival
Find X-Wing Tournament HQ for check-in. A member of staff will verify:
That you have purchased a ticket for the event.
Mark you as present for the event.
Have submitted your list properly on Longshanks.
Find a seat and get ready for a glorious day of X-Wing!
Event details
Gameplay Rules
5 Rounds of Swiss, each round lasting 75 minutes but the timer will be hidden and started once the Tournament Organiser or Judge is happy (this will be after most have set up but not before all have so start as soon as you are ready!)
Each game ends when a Player has scored 20 mission points, after 12 rounds of play, or when the game timer ends (whichever comes first).
When pairings are announced, find your table, set up and start playing.
Players will be told when time ends. No timer will be displayed.
Event Scoring
Win = 3 Event Points
Loss = 0 Event Points
Score Reporting
At the end of each game, players must report the result on Longshanks. If both players are struggling please see a Judge.

List Submission Deadline
This event will allow the use of all Star Wars X-Wing expansions available and fully released on or before 22 May, 2026. This INCLUDES any non-Epic content released by XWA by this date and available on the XWA website (https://www.xwing.life/resources)
List submission will need to be finalised and uploaded to the Longshanks event page no later than 29 May 2025 at 22:00 UK time at which point registration and list submission will be locked.

You are encouraged to use cards to represent your list and may also use Print & Play resources to create your list. If you intend to Print & Play your list, we recommend using Infinite Arenas to do so: https://infinitearenas.com/squadPrinter.php
All decisions rest with the TO and the decisions of the TO are final.
Sportsmanship

Players are expected to behave in a mature and considerate manner, to play within the rules and not abuse them. The behaviours prohibited include but are not limited to; intentionally stalling a game for time, placing components with excessive force, inappropriate behaviour, treating an opponent with a lack of courtesy or respect, cheating, or any other behaviour considered by the judges, marshall, or TO to be unacceptable.
