Description

Dr Liam cross & Dr Gray Atherton (School of Psychology, University of Plymouth) have published a range of papers on the overlap between tabletop games and neurodiversity and how and why games are beneficial. Their talk will cover these works, most recently using dixit as a therapeutic intervention and running DND interventions for mental health and creativity with the Amelia Scott Museum in Royal Tunbridge Wells. They have previously spoken at UK games expo, Airecon, Speil and Canada Plays. They recently got R&D funding to create an exciting new board game which highlights the strengths of Neurodiversity, co sponsored by Asmodee. The second event will be a co design workshop for the development for this game with members of the community.
