Gwent is Coming to Tabletops with Hachette Boardgames UK

Hachette Boardgames UK returns to UK Games Expo this year with an all-star line-up of titles spanning heavyweight strategy, family-friendly co-ops, and fast-paced two-player duels. Headlining the stand is Gwent: The Witcher Card Game – making its long-awaited debut in physical form.

Originally a cult favourite mini-game in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – one of the best-selling video games of all time – Gwent has now been fully realised as a standalone tabletop experience. Featuring all five factions and every single card from the digital version, it finally invites fans to ask that age-old question: “Fancy a round of Gwent?”

Also joining Hachette’s duel-ready line-up is Tag Team, a fresh brawler from the creators of the hit co-op game Sky Team. In this fast, punchy auto-battler, players assemble teams of quirky fighters, each with unique synergies, to clash in chaotic and endlessly replayable showdowns that channel the spirit of classic arcade beat ’em ups.

For those after something more collaborative, Hachette is debuting a range of family-focused cooperative games. Flow, inspired by this year’s Oscar-winning animation, tasks players with rescuing animals from ecological threats. Mission Savane challenges players to free animals from the cages of poachers. Spy Guy Fantasy delivers a frantic, search-and-find challenge for all ages, while MicroMacro Kids brings the award-winning detective game to a new generation.

In fact, MicroMacro has now officially joined the Hachette distribution line-up – and UKGE marks its first major showcase under that banner. Stop by the stand, spin the prize wheel, and join the celebrations.

Visitors can also take part in a Gwent tournament, meet designers Gregory Grard and Matthieu Roussel (Castle Combo) for signings, try the brand new Shackleton Base expansion (alongside the designer!), and discover even more surprises at Stand 2-416.
