Boardgamers of the Hythe and Waterside area in the New Forest

Started early 2022 this club has come a long way in a short amount of time, offering board gamers of the new forest, Southampton and often people as far away as Poole, Winchester & Portsmouth quality and interesting events.

Our vision is to create a welcoming, community-led space where people of all ages and backgrounds can connect through the joy of board gaming.

Monthly Sunday events, various dates, 14:00-19:00 - Great bus routes, ample parking, wheelchair friendly - £3pp

Space - A large, accessible church hall with plenty of room for games - big or small. Great parking and bus routes. Excellent facilities.

Hosting - We operate a hosting service at our events to match attendees to the right games and groups, along with game recommendations.

Library - Our curated games library is free to use at events. We have a range of great games suitable for all ages and preferences.

Teaching - We operate a welcome table where we teach quick and easy games as well as having regular teach tables run by volunteers.

Raffles - The game raffles at our events are real head-turners! Thrills and smiles all-round. A Range of brilliant prizes to be had.

Tuck Shop - Our affordable range of tea, coffee, drinks and snacks will give you the energy you need to master your opponents. Delicious!

Accessories - We keep a range of useful bits and bobs to keep games rolling from players wanted signs, to dice and trays, to scoresheets.

Bring and Buy - They say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure... We operate a bring and buy table where you can buy or sell games on the day.

We strive to make our events inclusive, affordable, and accessible—whether at regular meet-ups, online sessions, tournaments, marathons or charity fundraisers. By offering friendly hosting, welcome tables, and opportunities for newcomers to learn, we provide a supportive environment that combats loneliness and encourages lasting friendships. Together, we celebrate the hobby, strengthen ties with local clubs and businesses, and give back through charitable work benefiting both our community and beyond. Join us.
