Hello UKBGE,

My name is James (he/him) and I represent one half of the Oban based Board Game club - RookHart Games.

We attended this years (2025) UKBGE and had the most incredible, awesome experience we couldn't have ever even imagined!

We are super excited to attend this year too as we have just purchased our tickets for 2026 - super excited to attend the 20th anniversary - huge respect to everyone in the team, past and present for making 20 wonderful events and nurturing such a great community of gamers in the process <3

The reason for this message is to ask if we could possibly be added to the list of game clubs around the UK on your website (so useful to have a handy map for our road trips). 

Currently, we are only on Facebook due to that being the most widely used platform in the small town of Oban but also due to the fact that we are just a small team of 2 doing monthly events, however we are hopeful to expand as best we can when we can. So you can find us via our FB Page ‘RookHart Games’ but also we do have a website ‘https://playddbg.wixsite.com/rookhartgames’ (I think that's the right link). We've been doing events for just under 2 years (Jan ‘26 will be our anniversary) and alongside our own events we’ve worked a few events with local Oban based community organisations as well, which has been steadily increasing as well :)

Anyways, aside from all that, the main thing is that we'd love to be included on the map of game clubs, I realise that we have not yet been exhibitors at UKBGE as of yet and I'm not sure if that's a pre-requisite of being named on the map (if so that's okay, we're working up to it for 2027 hopefully!) but we'd love to be on there all the same if possible. Additionally there are a few other local game groups near us in including another in Oban (Oban Tabletop Gamers), one in a small village in Ford (Ford Village Games Group) and we've even made connections recently with some game groups in the Outer Hebrides too - though I totally realise that they would need to make contact too before being listed which is fair.
