MIDsummerCON

After nigh-on 50 years of holding a board games convention once every year, someone on the MidCon committee came up with the bright idea of holding the con more than once a year. 

MIDsummerCON will be a smaller version of its winter big brother, with the emphasis still very much on playing games, hanging out with old friends and making new ones. Or, if there is a Diplomacy tournament, hanging out with old enemies and making new ones. 

It will take place at the Holiday Inn in Kenilworth, running from 16:30 on Friday, 20 June until 18:00 on Sunday, 22 June. 

Ticket prices are £20 for the whole weekend; £5 just for Friday evening; £10 for Friday evening & all day Saturday; £10 for Friday evening & Sunday. You can buy tickets from the website (https://summer.midcon.org.uk). If you want to stay in the hotel, book your room directly with the hotel, and remember to mention MidCon to get the reduced room rate. 

There will be no seminars, no sponsors, no games stall, no bring & buy and no corporate presence. It is unlikely there will be any tournaments (maybe Diplomacy if the numbers justify it) or games demos but we're open to offers if any enthusiastic volunteer would like to organise something.
