Event Description

Someone is desecrating graveyards and preventing the completion of funerary rights.

This would point to the Lich King, whose power grows when cemeteries and funeral rites are interrupted but is the hand of the Prince active as well? Why would the Prince of Shadows help the Lich King?

The High Druid is concerned by the disruption to the natural order as the Power of the Lich King warps nature, the Emperor sees a challenge to the Empire, The Gold Dragon is directly opposed to the Lich King and will do anything to prevent his schemes, the Archmage senses an assault on the ley lines maintaining his magical defenses via these desecrations. The Elf Queen appears to be allowing her ‘half-sister’ to deal with the events but is keeping an active watch in case she needs to step in. The Priestess has shown no interest in investigating these events - which makes no sense as they have a direct impact on her domain. The Crusader, noting the lack of action by the Priestess has sent in a band of slayers to ‘keep the peace’.

Can the players (each acting on behalf of their own icon) uncover the cause of the desecrations (or at least stop them)? The group has been brought together by an understanding between the High Druid, The Archmage, The Emperor, and the Gold Dragon. Each of the icons has broadly similar goals but do the players?
