Huge Range of Family Games

Whether you play games regularly or are brand new to gaming there is a huge range of games to try out, either for the first time or just to revisit some of your favourites. These have been collected from all over the world to bring you the best choice and variety possible and are great for building a variety of skills from maths and literacy to logic and memory.

Demonstrators: to teach you how to play and suggest what to play

The demonstrators are here to make sure you have the most fun possible so let us know if we can help with anything or if there’s a particular game you’d like to try. The Imagination Gaming team to help teach you anything you see in the zone, give you helpful tips or advice on the games, teach you something new.

Oversized Games: fun as adults and kids play with giant game pieces

These are hugely popular and rarely empty so come along and laugh as your family plays with huge versions board game pieces. Including Pandemic and Ticket to Ride boards.

Represent your School: and a chance to win a prize for your school

Any child attending UK Games Expo will have the opportunity to represent their school in a series of games challenges. There is no cost and it simply involves sitting down and playing a few games and puzzles that we’ve chosen as a challenge. Your scores and progress will be recorded and the school that has the most points from their eager pupils at the end of the event will contacted and prizes be given. Why not come along and see what you can win for your school?

Creative Zone: from story writing to designing and making games

Get your creative juices flowing; from story writing to designing and making. We love to showcase the designs and stories by those who visit the Zone, and we’ll have a display board where you can see everyone’s hard work (and maybe get some inspiration!) We will also have some great construction activities this year so if you’re the sort of kid that likes to build, we’ve got you covered!

Young Einsteins: bright colourful games for very young gamers

This is for our growing number of very young gamers. We have a terrific range of bright, colourful games to enjoy. HABA who sponsor the Family Zone, specialise in children’s and family games. We’ve tried out the range of games in schools across the country already so we know the young minds will love playing them.

Face painting

We will have a face painter in the zone again this year. Always popular, you can be a Dragon or a Unicorn or even have your favourite character drawn on your face. This feature is at an extra cost.

Do you have a disability?

If you have a disability and are worried about getting to a table please let us know in advance and we can look to reserve a table for you where you will have the space or access you need. In addition, let us know if there are things you find challenging and we can look to make sure we recommend the right games for you to ensure you have a great time.
