Friendly Local Games Shops: how UKGE exhibitors Japanime Games are helping.
Late Wednesday night, Japanime President Eric Price, spent the evening wracking his brain trying to come up with something he could do to help his friends in our industry.
"I have heard of so many stores that have had to shut down, or close their event space, and I know that many of my friends may not be able to weather through these difficult times," said Eric.
"I came up with an idea that I feel may help, and I hope that it does.
We will, for the foreseeable future, be donating 50% of all sales made through our website to any local game stores that are mentioned by the customers when they place their order.
In this way, even stores that are currently closed down can make some amount of income.
It may not be huge for any one retailer, but we will certainly be putting a bit of cash back into our industry this way, and I hope this inspires more people to do good things for others that need our help."
