Want free admission and a chance to be part of making UK Games Expo a success?
We are looking for 3 or more hours of your time on the weekend of 25th to 27th May 2011. This could be Wednesday, Thursday or friday to help set up or late afternoon and evening to help the traders in, or during the opening hours.
Volunteer Policies
Anyone interested in volunteering for UK Games Expo must be aware of the following policies. Please read them carefully and contact us if you have any questions that are not answered here.ALL Volunteers
- All volunteers must wear their UK Games Expo badge while on duty.
- All volunteers should wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Please refrain from wearing torn or dirty clothing or open-toed shoes. Comfortable walking shoes are best, as most volunteers will be standing or walking a great deal during their shifts.
- We ask all volunteers to act in the best interest of UK Games Expo by respecting attendees, fellow volunteers and staff, as well as promoting a safe and healthy environment.
- Volunteers must refrain from any deliberate acts that may create a dangerous or unhealthy situation during UK Games Expo. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of illegal drugs, consumption of alcoholic beverages and assaulting, threatening or disregarding the safety of an individual. If you know of anyone who might be under the influence or is exhibiting dangerous or risky behavior, please report to Senior Volunteers or UK Games Expo Directors.
- Volunteers are not permitted to use their volunteer status to promote or conduct personal business.
Rewards
Volunteer slots are 3 hours length.
Volunteer for 1 slot and we give you FREE entry for a day.
Volunteer for 2 slots and we will provide full extended weekend entry.
Volunteer for more than 2 slots and and we will provide full extended weekend entry and expenses calculated at £5 per slot above the first 2.
Volunteers who do 6 slots or more will have hotel accomodation provided for two nights in addition to Full Extended entry and expenses calculated at £5 per slot above the first 2. The hotel accommodation is principally for those volunteers who work most of their slots on Saturday and Sunday.
Volunteers who help tear down the show will recieve Beer and Pizza on Sunday night ALSO. Additionally there may be a survivors raffle. Any prizes and games materials in our possession at the end of Expo will be given out to the volunteers still present at the end.
Jobs
There are various jobs which might include:
Setting Up- moving tables and boards etc
Helping Exhibitors unload/load
Stewarding Duties
