UK GAMES EXPO 2008 Premier Show Co-sponsors
Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG
Saturday: 11am – 5pm
UK Games Expo will be hosting the first unofficial Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG 2 Player Team Championships! Pair up with a partner and see what you have what it takes to raise to the top.
Format will likely be 5 rounds of swiss cut to the top 4 teams, though minor adjustments may be made to this depending on the number of teams participating
World of Warcraft TCG
Sunday 10am – 4pm
Try your hands at qualifying for the 2008 UK World of Warcraft TCG Championships being held later this year. The top 8 finishing players from this event will earn their invitations to play in the National Championships in September
All weekend activity:
YuGiOh! King of Games Challenge: Take part in mini competitions all day long. Don’t forget to bring your deck!
YuGiOh! Demonstrations, Deck Doctor and Challenge the Master: For the young players, we will have helpful volunteers to help you fine tune your deck from your collection of cards, then you can try them against a designated master (who gives away cool prizes if defeated). Again, don’t forget to bring the cards that you want the deck doctor to look at!
World of Warcraft Demonstrations: Come and have a go at our fantastic trading card game based upon the infamous MMORPG PC game! It is easy to learn, but takes a lifetime to master! If you are into the PC game, you will certainly enjoy the flavor references and artwork specially commissioned for the TCG!
World of Warcraft Raid Challenges: Bring yourself and two friends to take on any of the following raid bosses: Onyxia’s Lair, Molten Core or Magtheridon’s Lair. You can bring along your own decks or borrow some of the pre-constructed decks available! Small prizes are given away as you progress through the stages. Will you and your friends be prepared enough to finish what you have started….?
